The Vinci Workplace Safety Calendar 2020 is one of my favourite projects of my career so far. It is the fourth calendar of this type for which I created the illustrations at Artist Design.
Once again, the mascot "Mr. Energies," established over the previous years, is at the centre of the individual scenes, but this time he experiences his adventures in comic-style science fiction scenarios.
Implementing the workplace safety themes already familiar to us in the agency from previous calendars with spaceships, aliens, robots, and foreign planets was an exceptionally enjoyable task. Designing and modelling the 3D models for the individual characters, vehicles, and backgrounds was also work that I thoroughly enjoyed.
The layout of the calendar for various companies within the Vinci Group, as well as in multiple languages, was designed by Creative Director Aksel Wager and Jörg Fröhling.
