During my time at Artist Design, I was involved in the realization of approximately 50 trade fair stands. The agency's main client was EC POWER, but projects were also completed for BKWK (Federal Association for Combined Heat and Power) and Zukunft Gas.
The trade fair stands ranged in size from 9 to 180 square meters, some of which were multi-level. My responsibilities covered nearly all aspects of these projects, including:
- Primarily the conceptualization and design of the stands as well as their visualization.
- Creation of large scale graphics, illustrations and animations.
- Communication with trade fair organizers, stand builders, and clients.
- Organization and logistics, including cost control, and handling all orders with trade fair organizers, such as electricity and water connections, parking tickets, and catering services.
- Less frequently on-site presence to support stand setup, oversee coordination, and conduct final inspections.
The various locations provided me with valuable insights into the specific requirements of different trade fair organizations and countries. Particularly noteworthy is my extensive experience with Italian trade fairs and my knowledge of the unique characteristics of the trade fair industry in the USA.
The events I supported include the leading global trade fairs of the HVAC and plumbing sector, such as ISH in Frankfurt am Main and Mostra Convegno Expocomfort (MCE) in Milan, as well as national events like SHK and E-world in Essen or IFH Intherm in Nuremberg. Additionally, I contributed to smaller and cross-industry trade fairs, such as InterCOGEN, Intergastra, GetNord, Genera in Spain, and VVS in Denmark.
