Between 2012 and 2024, illustration became a central part of my work at Artist Design – alongside trade fair communication. My focus lay in technically oriented subjects, primarily for clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors such as EC POWER and Vinci Energies.

Most illustrations were developed as 3D compositions, often based on hand-drawn sketches in the early stages. The goal was always clarity, structure, and visual depth – from brochures and large-format trade fair graphics to animations and interactive media.

Key projects included evolving cutaway illustrations of residential buildings, showing integrated energy systems such as cogeneration units, photovoltaics, heat pumps, and smart control technology – often set in detailed outdoor environments.

I also developed the fictional EC POWER City, a populated model town visualising a wide range of applications for combined heat and power. Another long-running project was the Vinci Energies safety calendar, featuring annual sets of custom illustrations built around the character “Mr. Energies”. The 2022 edition was linked to internal video contributions and included a fully animated intro sequence.
