The EC POWER City was originally developed in 2014 for a brochure to illustrate the various areas of application where combined heat and power (CHP) or small-scale cogeneration systems are particularly advantageous. The buildings were designed to be clearly recognisable as, for example, a hospital, hotel, university, school, car workshop, or kindergarten. The layout was supplemented with appropriate icons to enhance the visual concept.
The design was very well received by customers and was therefore repeatedly used in various formats, including brochures, trade show graphics, the website, and PowerPoint presentations. Over time, the design was continuously modified and expanded until it was completely revised in 2023.
The new version is significantly more detailed: The city was brought to life with people, vehicles, and trees and designed with such a high level of detail that it is also suitable for extremely large-scale applications.
