In the ecosystem developed by Artist Design for the client EC POWER, cutaway houses have long played a central role. Over approximately a decade, I have created numerous visualisations of various building types in this format for different media.
In the earlier versions, the focus was primarily on highlighting the core advantage of CHP systems: the simultaneous supply of electricity and heat to a building.
Over time, the emphasis shifted—not only for our client but also across the entire industry—towards complex, integrated energy solutions. These include the combination of CHP units with photovoltaics, heat pumps, control and storage systems, as well as charging stations for electric vehicles.
The more recent visualisations place greater emphasis on illustrating how these smart, complete systems are arranged around the living spaces they supply with energy.
Furthermore, as the visual world for the client has evolved, it has become significantly more detailed. In addition to depicting the building’s surroundings with trees, lawns, and other elements, the latest version I created also shows the building across all four seasons.
